I recently called over to France to speak with musician Mark Ashton. His recording career goes back to the late 60s. His band back then was Rare Bird, and they had a huge international hit called "Sympathy". He later spent time in New York and Los Angeles to focus on his solo career. He rediscovered his love of painting during this time, and currently enjoys a successful career as an artist as well as a musician. He paints under the name Mark Ashton Vey, and took some time away from music. It wasn't long before Mark was encouraged to release a new album, and the Mark Ashton Project is the result. It is a fantastic record, and Mark told me all about it during the interview. Two tracks are featured with this episode.
