Danielle is a singer/songwriter who writes very emotional songs and has a powerful performance style. We had a great conversation that covered her influences, her musical background, and the state of today's music scene. We talked about our early love of The Monkees, Joe Jackson, and the Ramones. Danielle talked through some of the struggles that female musicians still face to this day, and how she deals with reaction to her work. She is in charge of all aspects of her career, and we talk about how she balances all of the things going on in her busy life. Her songs can be deeply personal, and I ask her if the subjects ever know that she is singing about them. Whether you are vain or not...that song could be about YOU!!!!!
