The Artist Connection Podcast has been offering long form audio interviews with artists from the past, present, and future since 2011. Hear what inspires them to get out of bed each morning and practice the craft that they love. My guests include people that I truly respect from many different backgrounds. Each episode provides a unique mix of music and conversation. Enjoy!

My guest today is Jade Starling! I have been a fan of hers since 1987 and I am thrilled to feature her on my show. Her band, Pretty Poison, had a huge hit with "Catch Me I'm Falling". It is one of those timeless tracks that still gets a ton of exposure today. Jade is set to release her first solo album on 6/10/14. It is called "Captive". I heard it and I love it! She has an Indiegogo campaign going on through the month of May to raise money for promotion. The direct link is www.indiegogo.com/projects/jade-starling-of-pretty-poison-captive-lp. The amount of money needed for a successful radio campaign is staggering for a musician. Jade is very devoted to her fans and she needs your help to give "Captive" the release that it deserves. There are so many amazing perks, and every dollar counts. I made my contribution, don't wait until the end to make yours.  We also had a great conversation about her life and her experiences in the music business. She offers some great advice to women in the industry. Two tracks are featured with this episode. The first is a look back, the second is a glimpse at where she is now. You can get caught up with her at www.jadestarling.com. She is also on Facebook and Twitter. If you reach out to Jade, please let her know that you heard her here first. Enjoy!
