Where to begin with this very special episode...My guest is the legendary Steve Arrington. He is a singer, producer, drummer, songwriter, engineer, and minister. I am honored to have him on the show! He was so generous with his time and he shared some incredible stories and experiences with me. We talked about his early days in music, his funky 70's work with Slave, and his various solo projects through the years. He also told me what it feels like to work with and have the respect of the up and coming artists of today. Steve is a wealth of musical knowledge and I hope to have him on again very soon. He allowed me to feature some of his music, and picking two songs was a nearly impossible task. I went with the Slave song "Watching You" from the 1980 gold album "Stone Jam". Closing out the show is "I'm on Fire" from his 2009 album "Pure Thang". If you don't know Steve's music, please look into it right now. It is tight, funky, inspirational and all points in between. Learn more at www.stevearringtonmusic.com. Special thanks to my good friend L*A*W for putting the wheels in motion and introducing me to Steve! If you reach out, tell him that Matt sent you! Enjoy!!!
