Artist Connection Podcast

The Artist Connection Podcast has been offering long form audio interviews with artists from the past, present, and future since 2011. Hear what inspires them to get out of bed each morning and practice the craft that they love. My guests include people that I truly respect from many different backgrounds. Each episode provides a unique mix of music and conversation. Enjoy!

Ric Jaz is an incredible guitar player that has been working with Buddy Guy for the past 8 years. His story begins many years before that. He has been a professional musician for close to 30 years and has worked with some big names. He told me all about it during our recent interview after the Buddy Guy show at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA. I went to the show with my good friend Federico Zayas, and we were both honored to meet Ric in the lobby for a long chat. He hung out with us into the wee hours of the morning. Our conversation covered many topics, including his background, his love of sports, and his work with The Dells, Albert King, and Buddy Guy. The interview took place in a busy hotel lobby, so please don't let the background noise take away from the experience. It is the loudest during the first 2 minutes. It is less distracting after that. Ric shared so many great stories. You can learn more about him at www.ricjaz.net. Special thanks to Steve for making the night possible. This episode also includes two songs from The Michael Williams Band. Michael was my guest back on Episode 031. The featured songs are from his album "Fire Red". Learn more at www.michaelwilliamsband.com. The album is available at iTunes and Amazon. This a big episode...Enjoy!!!
