Today's guest is drummer David Uosikkinen. David is a music legend from Philadelphia and I am honored to have him here. I was in high school in the mid-80's, and his band "The Hooters" was all over the radio (and my record collection) the whole time. Songs like "All You Zombies", "And We Danced", and "Day by Day" dominated the airwaves. The Hooters opened for the Who, played at Live Aid & Amnesty International, and "The Wall" concert with Rogers Waters in Berlin! All of this success was the result of relentless touring, respect for their fans, and incredible songwriting. David told me all about where's he's been and where he is now. His latest album celebrates the essential music of Philadelphia, and it is fantastic. two tracks from "David Uosikkinen's In The Pocket: Sessions" are featured here, but you will want to buy the whole thing. It has great songs and so many guest artists, all held together by David's drums. He is such a talented guy. We also talked about his upcoming show at The Ardmore Music Hall on 4/18/14, and his success in Europe. Learn more at If you reach out to David, please let him know that you caught up with him here. Enjoy!
