The Artist Connection Podcast has been offering long form audio interviews with artists from the past, present, and future since 2011. Hear what inspires them to get out of bed each morning and practice the craft that they love. My guests include people that I truly respect from many different backgrounds. Each episode provides a unique mix of music and conversation. Enjoy!
My guest today is David Quaife. He is the
co-founding Executive Director of The Pete Quaife Foundation. As
many long time fans know, his brother Pete was a founding
member and bass player for The Kinks. He sadly passed away in
2010. David is continuing his legacy with the work he is doing
with the foundation. David told me about how he and Penny
Pound got started with it, and the amazing musicians that
contribute tracks and performances to benefit them. We also
talked about his life, and the early days of The Kinks as seen
through his then teenage eyes. It sounds like those were great
times! Three Kinks cover songs from "Pass it On Vol 1" are featured
with this episode. Learn more atwww.petequaifefoundation.com.
Please consider doing what you can to help them out. If you
reach out to David, please let him know that you heard him here.
Enjoy!
