Episode 173 - Will Birch

I recently called over to the UK to speak with Will Birch. I have been a fan of his work for as long as I can remember. I started listening to him in the late 70's/early 80's through his band The Records. I have all of their albums. Will was a founding member of that band and served as the songwriter and drummer. They have so many great songs and they still get many spins on my turntable. Two of their songs are featured with this episode, and believe me, it was hard to pick just two. My introduction to Mr. Birch may have been The Records, but the story doesn't start there. He told me about his early bands in the 60's, mods vs. the rockers, his influences, and his thoughts on modern music. In addition to being a musician, Will is also an author and journalist. He is a wealth of musical knowledge, and his stories were incredible. Learn more at www.willbirch.com. If you reach out to him, please tell him that you heard him here. Enjoy!
