Episode 205 - Matt Syverson

This episode marks the 3rd anniversary of my show! Special thanks to my family and friends for the support that they have given me every step of the way! My network of friends keeps growing along with my guest list, and I am committed to bringing you interviews with the most talented individuals from all over the world. My guest today is rock fiction author Matt Syverson. His books are available at Amazon. It was great to speak with him about growing up in Oklahoma, the time he spent in Seattle, and his eventual move to Texas. He is only a year younger than me, so we have a lot of musical memories and milestones in common. He also hosts the Paperback Rocker Podcast. I am a huge fan of that show. He tells amazing stories with each episode, and plays some great music. Learn more about Matt at www.paperbackrocker.com. Please reach out and let him know that you heard him here first. Enjoy!

Episode 204 - Jeff Keith

My guest today is Jeff Keith, the singer in the band "Tesla". I have been a huge fan of Tesla since the mid 80's, and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to interview Jeff. I can't believe that it has been 28 years since the release of their first album. What I appreciate most about their records is how well they hold up over the years. Jeff and I talked about this during the interview, as well as what he was doing before the band made it big. They just released "Simplicity" on June 10th. I bought it right away, and it is amazing! Two tracks from it are featured with this episode, as well as some of my favorites from previous records. The band is out on the road right now, so catch them if you can. Learn more at www.teslatheband.com. If you reach out to Jeff, please tell him that Matt sent you. Enjoy!

Episode 203 - Joe Nevarez

Joe Nevarez is a writer from California, and I am happy to tell you that this is his first interview...ever! You are going to be hearing a lot from him over the next few months (and years), so I am honored that he chose my show to start his dialogue with the world. He is putting the finishing touches on his first book called "The Prism". Joe describes it as "A novel about the endless possibility of choice". Although this is a work of fiction, elements draw from Joe's real life experiences. He has had quite a life so far, and has endured more than anyone I ever met. He has such a positive outlook on life and he shows just how important it is to make the right choices and do what you have to do for yourself and your family. His story is truly inspirational. He has a Kickstarter campaign happening right now. Learn more at www.kickstarter.com/projects/theprism/the-prism. Please help out if you can. Getting this book completed and out to the world means the world to Joe. If you reach out, please let him know that you heard him here first. Enjoy!

Episode 202 - Lillie McCloud

Lillie McCloud is an amazing singer and it is an honor to have her on my show. She was featured on The X Factor in 2013 and blew everyone away from the start. Her version of "Alabaster Box" showed both the judges and the audience that she was there for a reason, and they loved every minute of it. The reaction shots are priceless. Lillie told me all about the hard work and determination that it takes to reach this level. She has been in the music business since the mid 80's and had many hits on the Dance Charts.  She is now signed with the Spectra Music Group, and her new single "What About the Beautiful Children?" is available now! Two versions of this song are featured with this episode. Listen now to hear why Lillie was called "The Voice" of season 3. Learn more about her at www.lillienicolemccloud.com. Please reach out to Lillie and let her know that you heard her here. Enjoy!
