Episode 201 - Henry Priestman

My guest today is musician Henry Priestman! I have been a fan of his since the late 70's, and I am honored to feature him on my show. He has a brand new album called "The Last Mad Surge of Youth". It is a wonderful collection of songs. Henry has accomplished so much, but he doesn't focus his songwriting on the past. He is very much in the moment, or looking ahead to his next great song. We talked about the new album, as well as his previous solo record "The Chronicles of Modern Life". Both are available at www.henrypriestman.com. Henry allowed me to include three of his songs with this album. I start things off with the Yachts single "Suffice to Say". That was my first exposure to Henry's work and it felt like a good place to start with this episode. I close out the show with a track from each of his recent solo albums. Henry talked about them during the interview, and they fit together quite well. If you reach out to Henry, please tell him that Matt sent you. Enjoy!

Episode 198 - Jiggley Jones

Jiggley Jones returns to the show to tell me all about his brand new album "...A Mountain, A Struggle, A Tunnel, A Light...". Two of the songs are featured here. I start things off with "Walk On Me". It is the lead track from the album and I love it! Jiggley has a new video for that song. We talked about its creation, as well as the challenges that he faced while travelling during the harsh winter of 2013/2014. It didn't slow Jiggley down one bit! I close out the episode with "Man on the Run". After you listen be sure to buy the whole album. You can learn more about him at www.jiggleyjones.com. Please catch one of his upcoming show dates and tell him that Matt sent you. Enjoy!

Episode 197 - Jade Starling

My guest today is Jade Starling! I have been a fan of hers since 1987 and I am thrilled to feature her on my show. Her band, Pretty Poison, had a huge hit with "Catch Me I'm Falling". It is one of those timeless tracks that still gets a ton of exposure today. Jade is set to release her first solo album on 6/10/14. It is called "Captive". I heard it and I love it! She has an Indiegogo campaign going on through the month of May to raise money for promotion. The direct link is www.indiegogo.com/projects/jade-starling-of-pretty-poison-captive-lp. The amount of money needed for a successful radio campaign is staggering for a musician. Jade is very devoted to her fans and she needs your help to give "Captive" the release that it deserves. There are so many amazing perks, and every dollar counts. I made my contribution, don't wait until the end to make yours.  We also had a great conversation about her life and her experiences in the music business. She offers some great advice to women in the industry. Two tracks are featured with this episode. The first is a look back, the second is a glimpse at where she is now. You can get caught up with her at www.jadestarling.com. She is also on Facebook and Twitter. If you reach out to Jade, please let her know that you heard her here first. Enjoy!
