Episode 205 - Matt Syverson

This episode marks the 3rd anniversary of my show! Special thanks to my family and friends for the support that they have given me every step of the way! My network of friends keeps growing along with my guest list, and I am committed to bringing you interviews with the most talented individuals from all over the world. My guest today is rock fiction author Matt Syverson. His books are available at Amazon. It was great to speak with him about growing up in Oklahoma, the time he spent in Seattle, and his eventual move to Texas. He is only a year younger than me, so we have a lot of musical memories and milestones in common. He also hosts the Paperback Rocker Podcast. I am a huge fan of that show. He tells amazing stories with each episode, and plays some great music. Learn more about Matt at www.paperbackrocker.com. Please reach out and let him know that you heard him here first. Enjoy!

Episode 203 - Joe Nevarez

Joe Nevarez is a writer from California, and I am happy to tell you that this is his first interview...ever! You are going to be hearing a lot from him over the next few months (and years), so I am honored that he chose my show to start his dialogue with the world. He is putting the finishing touches on his first book called "The Prism". Joe describes it as "A novel about the endless possibility of choice". Although this is a work of fiction, elements draw from Joe's real life experiences. He has had quite a life so far, and has endured more than anyone I ever met. He has such a positive outlook on life and he shows just how important it is to make the right choices and do what you have to do for yourself and your family. His story is truly inspirational. He has a Kickstarter campaign happening right now. Learn more at www.kickstarter.com/projects/theprism/the-prism. Please help out if you can. Getting this book completed and out to the world means the world to Joe. If you reach out, please let him know that you heard him here first. Enjoy!

Episode 043 - Peter Schmidt

My first interview of 2012! I had the opportunity to meet with playwright Peter Schmidt at a local Barnes and Noble. His latest play, The Teddy Bear Awards, is opening this week with the Allentown Public Theatre. He told me about the plot, and we talked through several of the Lehigh Valley locales that inspired him. He also told me about the work of Broadway actor and fellow playwright Jeffrey Weiss. Peter was very easy to talk to, and he has so many cool stories about his many years as a writer, actor, and teacher. He has a business where he helps students prepare for their SATs, and also gives them great real world advice that can impact their future. He has a great sense of humor, and gave me a preview of some of the songs in the show. It was very cool. Enjoy the interview, and check out his work when you can!

Episode 011 - Dave Joachim

Dave Joachim is a very talented individual.  He is a bestselling author and editor of over 35 cookbooks.  He also plays drums for Tavern Tan, and enjoys the great outdoors.  I recently met with Dave in his home office.  I got a sneak peek at his newest book that he wrote with Marc Vetri called Rustic Italian Food.  He is very excited about this book, and you should be too!  Dave told me about his early band experiences, and how important music is in his life.  Even with his busy schedule, he has a need to be behind that drum kit.  Dave also told me about his annual participation in the 550 mile cycling journey in the Pennsylvania Perimeter Ride Against Cancer. If you listen closely, you'll even hear Dave's family pay us a brief visit! Please visit Dave at his website to get all of the details on his books, appearances, and music.  This interview only scratched the surface, but it is a great place to start!  www.davejoachim.com
