Episode 081 - LadyLake Music Showcase

The second "all music" episode of the Artist Connection Podcast! I will be featuring artists that are represented by a promotion agency called LadyLake Music. Their motto is "Positive People, Positive Energy, Positive Results!". I met owner Cindy D'Adamo and VP Jen Andujar very early in the history of my show, and they have been so good to me. They are tireless in their efforts in getting great music out there. They literally work morning, noon and night. They are always there for their clients and friends. I have interviewed a few of their artists on previous episodes and I wanted to do something very special with this one as a "thank you" for all of their support. Learn more at http://www.reverbnation.com/label/ladylakemusic. This Memorial Day weekend (2012), LadyLake Music and HOOAH! Radio will be launching PROJECT ENCOURAGE which will be sending music and merchandise to the troops. Just another example of how these ladies are always giving back! Episode 080 - Stewart Kenny

This show marks the return of my good friend Stewart Kenny! He is a singer/songwriter from Ireland. We first met Stewart back on Episode 056. He has a big show coming up and is working on new music. This was the perfect time to catch up with him. We covered many topics during this interview...music, tv, comedy, movies and all points in between! Stewart is a devoted family man and that comes through in his conversation and his music. His dad, Tommy Kenny, is also a talented singer and songwriter. They are very close and collaborate often. I am hoping that Tommy joins us for our next interview. Two songs are included with this episode. "Brave New World" was written by Stewart and Tommy, and "Baby Said Goodbye" was written by Tommy. Learn more about Stewart at  http://soundcloud.com/stewartkenny and www.indieonair.com.  If you reach out to him, be sure to tell him that you heard him here first!  Enjoy!

Episode 075 - Zak Smith

The return of Zak Smith! I first had Zak on the show six months ago for Episode 028. I couldn't wait to catch up with him, and this was the perfect time. His new album is being released May 1, 2012. We talked about the recording of the album and talked through a few of the songs. We also talked about his mobile app. I have it, and it is great!  The content is updated often, and it's a fun way to stay up to date with everything going on in his world. Zak and I also have a shared love of protest music, so we talked about the evolution and current state of the Occupy movement. Zak allowed me to include two songs from the new album. After you listen, please buy the album.  It is solid from start to finish. You can learn more about Zak at http://www.zaksmithband.com/zaksmith.cfm.
