Episode 159 - Zak Smith

Zak Smith is a talented singer/songwriter from New Jersey. It has been about a year since he was featured on the show, and the time is right to catch up with him. He has been extremely busy since our last chat. He recently released his latest album, "The Precambrian Age." He told me all about it, and allowed me to play two tracks during the show! After you hear them, I know that you will want to buy the rest. There are 16 songs in total, and each showcase the many sides of Zak's songwriting approach. He plays a lot of the shows during the year, so catch him if you can. Learn more at www.zaksmithband.com. Please reach out to him and tell him that you heard him here first. Enjoy!

Episode 158 - Spinn

I recently had the opportunity to interview the ladies of Spinn. Stephanie Spinner, Cheryl Lynn Spinner, and Megan Battaglia told me about how they met and the early days of the band. They came together in 2006 and have been going strong ever since. We talked about our shared love of Asbury Park and New York City. Two tracks from "A Little Crazy" are featured in this episode. You are going to love their harmonies. They live life knowing that there isn't much that can't be fixed with great music, good friends, and a few shots of tequila. They made that very clear during the interview. We had a great time! Learn more at www.spinnmusic.com. If you reach out, tell them you heard them here first. Enjoy!

Episode 157 - Michael Williams

Musician Michael Williams returns to the show! He is the son of the legendary Junior Medlow, and has been spreading is own blend of blues and rock for many years. This man lives and breathes music. I first met him back in 2011 while he was supporting Buddy Guy on tour. His performance that night was incredible. Prior to that show he was a name on the marquee, but two minutes in I knew I was witnessing something big. I have been a fan ever since. In addition to his talent, he is also one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Two tracks from his Eddie Kramer produced album "Fire Red" are featured here. Please be sure to get the whole album. You will love it! Learn more at www.michaelwilliamsband.com.  If you see him, please tell him that you heard him here first. Enjoy!

Episode 155 - Matt Williams

Today's guest is Matt Williams from the Canadian trio "Western Avenue". He plays guitar and shares vocal duties with his bandmates Nikki English and Keith Robertson. Their harmonies are truly incredible. Matt and I are both huge fans of Tom Petty. He told me that Tom Petty was his first concert experience, and his musical course was set that night. Two Western Avenue tracks are included with this episode. I highly encourage you to learn more about them at www.westernavenue.ca. If you reach out to Matt, please tell him that you heard him here first. Enjoy!
